Part 1:
A) Create a subpage under "Digital Arts" called "Digital Arts Journal" (make this a blog page in Weebly)
B) Your first post for this new blog page should be titled, "What inspires me?"
C) Answer these questions:
1) Write a paragraph about something that inspired you or you found inspiring over the weekend.
2) Write a paragraph about how you think you get inspired or find inspiration.
*Challenge yourself to think of times when you were inspired or had great creativity.
Part 2:
Work on the following tutorials:
Designing a Key: Intro to the Pathfinder tool in Illustrator
Designing a Monkey: Learning to master Pathfinder, Shapes, and Pen Tool
*When you finish, challenge yourself to use these tools to create a Paperclip

1) Export your Mind Map as a JPEG
2) DP Updates
Create a New Page on your DP called "Digital Arts"
Create a Subpage called, "Personal Mind Map"
Upload your Process Photos (the original sketches) and your final product and answer the following questions:
A) Describe the steps it took to produce the mind map.
B) What inspired the imagery and words/phrases you selected?
C) What decisions did you have to make about the final product?
D) What were some challenges? How did you overcome them?
E) Why did you think we did this project? What did you gain from this project?
3) Typography Character Challenge
In teams of 4 you will create a character, using just letters, numbers and symbols. You can choose 4 letters or numbers and 1 symbol for this challenge. Due at the end of the period.

3) Download the images and open them in Adobe Illustrator. Put each photo on a new layer (if you are unsure, click here for help)
4) Do the Live Trace and Coloring (as described below)

If you finish those, then work on THESE:

*This will the foundation for a future project we work on, so see how far you can get, but we will work on this more closely tomorrow
