Interview Assignment #1: Conduct an interview with someone that you might be able to use for your documentary
It's okay that you haven't figured out exactly what your documentary topic and story are, have a storyboard, shot list, script... Well, you get the idea. We are just beginning the process and the brainstorming is just beginning. Your first assignment though is aimed at helping you practice your interviewing skillz and hopefully give you some material you could possibly use in your film. Don't fret if the interview you get does not work in the long run; we also need to learn how to be able to cut material when it doesn't work for us.
Assignment Expectations:
Conduct a 25-30-minute long interview with 1 person that you might be able to feature in your documentary. This could be a relative, friend, mentor, associate, shadowy figure, whoever. You will not be required or able to edit this documentary in any way. We just want to see the raw footage. You will then have to transcribe the interview in a Google Doc and share that with your instructors.
Final Deliverables:
1) Unedited 25-30 min long video interview (Shared Google Drive folder below)
2) Transcript with interview in a Google Doc (shared with henry@sdaff.org and felix@sdaff.org)
Due: Sunday, June 26th 11:59:59 PM
